I keep thinking about PixelatedCowboy and her game ideas and this ghost companion. I did this to get it out of my head (excuses). It’s nowt but a photoshop version of one of her ace posts on her idea blog. Fanart I guess. But in the loosest sense, since it’s traced.
Think of it as a 2012 version of something from those “Readers’ Art” sections in magazines with the free toy you had when you were a kid that some 8 year old did but it didn’t really count because they copied the cover of a Simpsons DVD or something.
Wow. I mean, I know I take a while to do things.. but this piece was incredibly tardy.
My sincerest apologies to BeastWomb for the delay, this is another song art trade. Her song was Boring Horror, by Born Gold (when they were known as Gobble Gobble) a band I can’t recommend enough. Seriously, thanks BW for putting this stuff in my ears - they’ve been on repeat for weeks now.
Also, this piece has found its way into my university work, and will hopefully become part of a short film. You can see the progress for that here.
Most links in a single post. Score.
Opinions please! With, or without stroke?
I also might add the director credit in there.
EDIT: This was produced with the intention of being submitted to the Minimal Movie Posters blog, I went without stroke.
So I noticed that viewing my After Effects project at quarter resolution produces some rather cool pixel-art-looking dealies from my original vector drawings, this car being a lovely example.
I’ve been trying to work out if a single spot light could be applied to a composition with only this car in (and still have it affect the composition that it’s inside), and realising it can’t, or at least, I don’t know how.
WEEPINBELL IS CONFUSED
Why, Weepinbell, why? Why are you so susceptible to confusion? It’s not even a Weepinbell-typical trait is it? You don’t have some Pokémon power that makes you easily confused, do you?
I’m feeling quite ill and am playing Leaf Green again.
*cough*
This is an image from one of my university blogs.
I’m working on a new short film.
Did not realise the time. Been up realising a digital render of The Maiden.
After Effects idea changed so it resembles original ideas in no way? Check.
Do you like pretty, filmy things?
Then I would like to direct your attention to the brilliant blogs of Tom Hole (it’s ever changing, I checked it one minute and it had blank space, next minute it had autumn leaves. There might be easter eggs or something on there now) and Freddie Lloyd (as well as an awesome film blog, he’s also one whole of the Ursine Vulpine music project.. lovely stuff!). They’re both incredibly talented.
Incidentally, Tom’s up for best creative blog at the Total Film Movie Blog Awards - vote here.
