I’m busy with some things at the moment, a few potential projects and an ever-encroaching, important university deadline. But forget about that for a moment and marvel at this lovely little comic I got sent by Tumblrman Crashsuit, since he’s been nice enough to offer these comics to fellow Tumblrites. Check out that doodle envelope!
I figured we could incorporate my one-sided comic-taking into my song art project.
When I get a few more trades under my belt, I’ll eventually collate everyone’s The Chain interpretations into a single blog, if indeed there are enough. Until then, gawp at how adorable this one is.
Thanks, Crashsuit!
BONUS BACK-OF-THE-ENVELOPE PROSE:
“Here is a riddle for you!
As I was foing to St. Ives, I met a man with 7 wives,
Each wife had 7 sacks, each sack had 7 cats,
Each cat had 7 kits - kits, cats, sack & wives,
I put them all on a YouTube video and got 10 million hits, the end.”
Wow. I mean, I know I take a while to do things.. but this piece was incredibly tardy.
My sincerest apologies to BeastWomb for the delay, this is another song art trade. Her song was Boring Horror, by Born Gold (when they were known as Gobble Gobble) a band I can’t recommend enough. Seriously, thanks BW for putting this stuff in my ears - they’ve been on repeat for weeks now.
Also, this piece has found its way into my university work, and will hopefully become part of a short film. You can see the progress for that here.
